On Sunday, June 16th, members of the Ushi-Oni Conference (a volunteer group formed in Uwajima City after the heavy rain disaster in western Japan, composed of government officials, private companies, universities, organizations, and individuals, including Mr. S, the representative of CSTOYS) conducted a survey by walking the tsunami evacuation routes in Uwajima City. Starting from Kisaia Square (a shopping center and food court), we walked for about 50 minutes, covering approximately 3.5 kilometers and almost circumnavigating Uwajima Castle. Along the route, there were 30 locations where we could learn about tsunami countermeasures. Guided by Associate Professor Takahisa Ohmoto from Ehime University’s Regional Collaboration Promotion Organization, we gained valuable disaster prevention knowledge that can only be learned by walking the routes. As the first installment of the "Uwajima Town Walk" series, we decided to document this blog. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the members of the Ushi-Oni Conference and the related organizations for their cooperation in this endeavor.

Question We were Often asked:

  • Q: Why a toy seller is on the radio and introducing local Japan?
  • A: Good Question! For over one decade, we have made many friends and customers abroad, and we want them ( and YOU!) to know all the tokusatsu films, shows, and toys are enriched by Japanese unique culture and history. If you have any tokusatsu toys, we want you to explore beyond the toys and one day meet with us here in Japan, where all Tokusatsu stories started. We are CSTOYS, but not just toys ;D
