Despite them appearing identical to their Super Sentai counterparts in the show, the Lion Thunderzord toy had its green parts recoloured black, and the White Shogunzord was recoloured as the Pink Shogunzord.

Starting with Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, Bandai America began creating original toys for Megazords alongside imports of the DX Sentai robos. By Power Rangers RPM, they stopped using the Japanese toys altogether. Hasbro continued to create their own Megazord toys.

The Samuraizers in Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai had a different screen design to the ShodoPhones of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, except for the one used by Lauren Shiba as the Red Samurai Ranger (which did not receive a toy release for Power Rangers Super Samurai).

Saban Brands and Bandai America chose to adapt the Karakuri Hengen as the main morpher for Power Rangers Ninja Steel/Super Ninja Steel, and created a modified version for the Gold Ranger rather than adapting the Ninja StarBurger used by Starninger.
